Love Living the Single-Level Life
At 1058 Victoria, everything is right where it belongs, including you. Meandering the storybook streets of San Leandro’s sought after Broadmoor neighborhood makes for a happy homecoming everyday. Nearby amenities featuring local favorite cafes and restaurants, parks and a pool, and easy access to commute routes open the door to an established community where you will always feel welcome.
Along the brick path to the level-in front door, the low maintenance front yard foreshadows what’s to come. Clean lines and simple details stay true to the mid-century style of this 1953 era home. Updated throughout, the streamlined modern kitchen offers efficient space to prepare favorite recipes or try out something new. The living room is open and bright with views of mature oak trees lining the street. Natural light floods every room of the home through multiple skylights and newer windows. The spacious primary bedroom with room for rest and renewal overlooks the level backyard. The backyard has a bit of everything to satisfy anyone – the large deck is perfect for al fresco dining on warm evenings or afternoon gatherings while the level grassy yard is ready for playtime and parties. Lined with the sweetest garden, you won’t need a green thumb to appreciate the butterfly bush when it earns its name and there’s no need to sacrifice your avocado toast to buy this home – you can pick your own from the fruiting avocado tree! There's no better way to top off brunch than with fresh orange juice from your tree to craft memorable mimosas.
The finished garage is primed for working from home, though could still function as a one-car garage if desired. Adding to the home’s efficient use of space this extra room is ideal to spread out for work or play.

Hello!
Thank you for your interest in 1058 Victoria. My husband and I bought this sweet home as first-time homebuyers in 2016. We had lived in San Leandro for 3 years, fallen in love with the area, and were ready to settle in and start a family.
The Broadmoor neighborhood, where our home is located, was immediately attractive to us due to its beautiful, tree-lined streets and proximity to Roosevelt Elementary – one of San Leandro’s most highly-rated schools.
In our 7 years living here, we have discovered so much more to love about this area. My husband has enjoyed biking to BART for his commute and walking down the street to As Kneaded Bakery for freshly baked bread each week. I love getting coffee with friends at Zocalo Coffeehouse, taking a yoga class at Square One Yoga – both walking-distance, or taking a walk around beautiful Lake Chabot on the paved (stroller-friendly!) path. When the weather is warm we love to go for a swim at the new Farrelly Pool, a 6 min walk, or lounge at Alameda beach – just a 20 minute drive.
When our daughter, Luna, was born in 2017, we began to frequent Roosevelt Park – a 6-min walk and a great place to make connections with other families in the neighborhood, the San Leandro Library – a 5-min drive with baby and toddler story-time offerings, and the Oakland Zoo – a 3-min drive, just one exit north. When date-night rolls around we like to take a stroll around the corner to Top Hatters Kitchen & Bar – recently recognized in the Michelin guide.
We have found the Broadmoor neighborhood to be very family-friendly and community-oriented. We’ve been blown away by the kindness of our neighbors - always ready with a smile and a helping hand. When our daughter was born they organized a meal-train, one neighbor organizes an annual Summer block-party, and whenever someone has a surplus harvest of home-grown fruits and veggies, we share.
Speaking of gardening, if that’s a hobby or aspiration of yours, you’ll be happy in this home! San Leandro is known for having excellent soil and - despite my complete lack of gardening knowledge when we moved in - we’ve had great success growing tomatoes, zucchini, carrots, strawberries, avocados, oranges and plenty of flowers. We love to spend time in the backyard and enjoy all the butterflies, ladybugs and hummingbirds our garden attracts.
Of all the things we’ve enjoyed about living here however, the home itself has got to be our favorite. We’ve enjoyed all the natural light streaming in through the skylights and large windows, the open floorplan was especially great because we could cook and still have eyes on our toddler playing in the living room, and the lovely new office space we’ve created in the garage has been the perfect, quiet place to focus and work from home.
1058 Victoria has served us so well these last 7 years and we have made wonderful memories here. If we weren’t moving to be closer to family, we would have stayed in this house for decades. We hope you feel as much joy and warmth in this home as we did.
All the best,
The Holaday Family
